This line uses teflon material for applying insulation (fiber optical coating) This cable type is suitable for use in aggressive environments. During the fluoropolymer (teflon) extrusion, the heating temperature of the extruder is 350-450°C, and the cylinder loading zone is 150-200°C.
Teflon is the plastic type with rare physical and chemical properties. Visually, teflon looks like a white, transparent material in a light film, resembling in appearance paraffin or polyethylene. It has high heat and frost resistance, remains flexible and elastic at temperatures from -70 to +270 °C, it’s the excellent insulating material. Teflon has very the low surface tension and adhesion (gummosity) and isn’t wetted by water, fats, and most organic solvents.
The teflon line is the high-temperature one, that is why the extruder is made of a metals alloy. The material, that used for the production of extruder parts, namely screws, extruder heads, screw barrel, is called GH113: it’s a high-impact, heat-resistant nickel-based steel alloy. All products have corrosion resistant, show high wear resistance, temperature resistance and high density.
