General information about tangential taping head

Purpose

This line performs the wire taping process, which involves applying a non-metallic tape to the cable by wrapping it. This production step creates a protective layer of non-metallic tape around the cable, providing additional protection from external influences, electromagnetic interference or other external factors.

Operating principle

The structure is tangential, driven by a 22 kW AC motor. Gear change is stepless, rotates both clockwise and counterclockwise. Tension with feedback for manual adjustment.

Questions-Answers for tangential taping head

What types of material can be used in the taping process?

Copper and aluminum foil, polyethylene tape, paper, cloth and other non-metallic tapes.

What is the size of the input blank before the screen overlay?

Maximum workpiece size Ø80 mm.

How is tape break detection accomplished?

A break sensor is used to detect a break and end of the belt. A photoelectric induction sensor is mounted on the belt disk on the belt guide roller. This sensor helps to detect when the ribbon breaks or ends, allowing the system to react quickly to these events and take the necessary action to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
