General information about concentric taping head
Purpose
The concentric taping head is mainly used for wrapping mica tape onto the insulated cores of various types of cables, including power cables, control cables and optical cables. This process of wrapping mica tape onto cable cores helps provide additional protection and insulation, improving the quality and reliability of cable products.
Operating principle
The principle of operation of a concentric taping head is that the cable or wires are fed into the device for subsequent winding with mica or other tape. The winding occurs horizontally around the insulated cable cores, ensuring uniform and dense application of the tape. During operation, the concentric taping head controls the tape feed and cable movement in such a way as to ensure even coverage of the core without excess or gaps.
